Render

Renderings are an integral part of any design. My creative process always starts within a virtual space to explore elements and quickly narrow down a unique idea.

I started in this industry as a “render artist” to designers and creatives alike, helping them conceptualize and create their vision. Working alongside those designers allowed me to experience all forms of design and cultivate my own creativity.

Simulating lighting into a render is a very useful tool. I use this as a designer to visualize scenes and their relationship with light. Texture is another tool needed in renderings that I include as each material creates a different style and “feel” for the design.

My goal as a creative is to design something that uses all elements including lighting, video, scenic, etc. to represent the ambience of the project.

Lighting

Lighting was taught to me through my experiences with corporate events, and I continued to learn in the world of concert touring. These elements are seen in my designs that are both radiant and detailed.

I use lighting in ways that enhance each project, and each component is chosen specifically for the type and scale of that project. From concerts and television, to corporate and exhibits, lighting is generally the largest feature in a design.

Scenic

To add a custom feel to my designs, I use scenic pieces to make visual impacts. The concept for a piece comes from art, architecture, digital media, and more. They directly represent the inspiration behind the design and add an ambience to fill the necessary spaces. From special effects to decor, there is almost always a relationship with lighting to complete a scene.

Production

Polishing a production is the best part of a design, and every subtle nuance counts towards the overall creative intent. This is best seen in video content; layers are added to create a dynamic and distinct look. I direct content and bring screens to life. Automation has the ability to alter a scene and make something new within the same design. All these pieces amount to the “production value” of a project no matter how ambitious.
